Group Counselling

Group Counselling

Group counselling is a powerful tool for personal growth and emotional well-being. Sessions typically involve a group of 4 to 12 participants who are dealing with similar issues, such as depression, anxiety, addiction, grief, relationship problems, domestic abuse, or other mental health concerns. The sessions are typically conducted on a weekly basis and last between 90 to 120 minutes, with a minimum commitment of 6 sessions.

The primary objective of the sessions is to create a supportive and well-organised environment for participants to openly discuss and explore their problems, emotions, feelings and thoughts.

Tailored to the group’s specific goals, the sessions may incorporate activities aimed at building essential skills, role-playing and various therapeutic approaches designed to help participants develop more effective coping strategies and enhance their interpersonal abilities. Ultimately, the overarching purpose is to foster emotional healing and promote personal growth among the participants.

A skilled counsellor will facilitate the discussions, employing specific techniques to ensure that each member actively engages, self-reflects and connects with their own experiences.
