About Me

I am Ayo Popoola, the founder of Identi5 Counselling and Therapy. As a certified Counsellor, I bring a wealth of empathy and discernment, qualities that I believe are crucial in fostering a secure and nurturing space for anyone seeking support. 


My journey in psychotherapy is not only underpinned by formal training but is deeply enriched by the unique privilege of supporting individuals during their most critical and vulnerable moments. These encounters have given me invaluable insights into the complexities of the human psyche and the profound impact that genuine, empathetic therapy can have on one’s life.

Individual Session

What to expect during your individual sessions

Following an introductory chat with you, if you decide to proceed, your 

first session will be booked. 

Expect to find a safe and nurturing space where your faith is not only 

respected but embraced as a vital aspect of your healing process.

This session will include an assessment which will enable your Counsellor 

to gather information about your background, concerns, goals, 

expectations and to better understand your unique situation. 

The session also gives your Counsellor the chance to share with you 

what they are able to offer and together you can identify your specific 

goals and objectives. This stage is crucial as it helps to place you and 

your Counsellor on the same page, so to speak and it serves as a catalyst 

for building a good relationship. 

Group Session

Group counselling is a powerful tool for personal growth and emotional well-being.

Sessions typically involve a group of 4 to 12 participants who are dealing with similar issues, such as depression, anxiety, addiction, grief, relationship problems, domestic abuse, or other mental health concerns. The sessions are typically conducted on a weekly basis and last between 90 to 120 minutes, with a minimum commitment of 6 sessions.

Christian Counselling

Our Christian counselling sessions are rooted in the belief that God’s love and grace are foundational and pivotal to your healing and growth. Together, we will explore the intersections of your faith and struggles, seeking wisdom and guidance from biblical principles and teachings.

Whether you are grappling with issues of identity, relationships, or personal growth, our Christian counselling approach offers a holistic framework that honours your spiritual journey while addressing your emotional, mental and relational needs.
